Dr. Juli Larson is a graduate of North Park University in Chicago and the University of Illinois Medical School. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Larson completed an internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, where she received the "Most Outstanding Intern of the Year" award. She completed a residency in ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where she also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Larson's LASIK training was done with an internationally-recognized surgeon who has performed thousands of laser procedures, authored numerous articles on refractive surgery, and designed several LASIK devices. Dr. Larson began performing LASIK in 2000, and since that time, she has successfully performed laser vision correction on over 15,000 eyes.
Dr. Larson is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and she is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Larson is a member of the Vermont Ophthalmological Society and was their president in 2013 and 2014. She is also a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery. Dr. Larson is the VISX Certified LASIK Surgeon for Sightpath Medical (the largest and most experienced provider of laser services in the world), and she is a member of their advisory board. Dr. Larson has been repeatedly chosen by Sightpath Medical as one of their Top 5 Refractive Surgeons. In addition to LASIK, Dr. Larson also provides general eye care and performs cataract surgery.
